For me, one of the best books this author has written so far. I don't usually enjoy YA. The angst, dramatics and childish behaviour all plotting to keep me away but, amazingly enough this book was good. Maybe because it started with the main characters as small children instead of plunging us directly into teenage-hood. I don't know. The point is that it's well done. The background was comprehensive without being boring, the world-building was good and the support characters actually supported the main couple without suffocating them. Overall it is well balanced out and a real treat. Good HEA as well, modest but meaningful.
