Monster in My Closet by R.L. Naquin

Well, it's not world-breaking or anything but it was fun. A nice change of pace too. There is a huge number of fairytale tale creatures traipsing around this book and it makes for a wonderful time. They're very interesting to get to know and Zoey kind of absorbs all the weirdness and turns everything fun and captivating. There were also some less than stellar moments but they were taken in stride and I enjoyed it anyway. Good first instalment.
