Wow. This book definitely rivals the first one of this series. It is beautifully written with an amazing focus on politics without disregarding the consequences of it all to our main characters. The plot is creative, rich and so complex. More amazing was how our Jax managed to navigate such a minefield and cultivate the alliance with the Bugs. I still can't believe Jael was the bad guy. Not much of a shock just a huge disappointment. Too bad a war is still coming.
