Wow. This book definitely rivals the first one of this series. It is beautifully written with an amazing focus on politics without disregarding the consequences of it all to our main characters. The plot is creative, rich and so complex. More amazing was how our Jax managed to navigate such a minefield and cultivate the alliance with the Bugs. I still can't believe Jael was the bad guy. Not much of a shock just a huge disappointment. Too bad a war is still coming.

Review: Wanderlust

I can see why some things had to be done. Why some decisions were made but I can't say I like some consequences. One can't help thinking...is it better now?
I still loved reading this book but the first is still better for me. Jax seems to be a lot more grown up in some parts and although I'm pretty proud of her, like some parent (hopefully not her mother 'cause that woman is seriously messed up!), this only makes it harder for when she's being idiotic. The whole situation with March for instance only makes me want her to be real so I can slap her 'till she grows a brain. Then again...I don't like him much. I understand he gets her like no one but...hey he reads her mind. Half the work is done. Plus he's creepy. Seriously.

Review: Grimspace

One hell of a book. I was expecting some cheap science fiction novel with no start, middle or ending, just a jumble of made up facts that made absolutely no sense and explained nothing to the reader and was instead greeted with an awesome story with likeable characters. Not that Ann Aguirre isn't a great writer because she is but I just can't help some trepidation every time I start reading a sci-fi book. They almost always disappoint me and are a waste of my time but alas, I should've known better considering I've been reading Aguirre for quite some time now. She does not disappoint. I found myself laughing out loud or quaking in my boots (not that I'm wearing them now; it's summer) right alongside the main character. The pull of the story is so big and so well done I had a huge difficulty tearing myself from it to actually work today. The plot is gripping. The characters feel like real people. The writing is at a great level of mastery. Didn't blow my mind but it was close.

Way too complicated for me. Unusual amounts of events based in information not actually shared previously to the reader or explained either. Mostly it just seemed a jumble of stuff without order or sense. Then again I didn't read any of the previous novels so that might be why I was feeling so left out. The romance though...I mean what romance? Where was it? Guy kidnaps girl, enters her mind, finds out her secrets, gets possessed and rapes girl. Girl gets pregnant, falls in love, gives birth and they marry. All in less than a week. Seriously? SERIOUSLY??

Two for the price of one. No, it's not another threesome. Fortunately or unfortunately, not sure... This time it's Chris turn to find his mate. A very cute petite Asian woman. A very much married one. But not all is bad news because there's something weird going on in that marriage and he sure wants to find out...only he finds more than he wanted or expected. Like a husband who suddenly turns into a brother. A brother who then seems to find a mate in Gina, Chris's cop cousin who then gets kidnapped by the guy the Asian siblings were running from. How much interesting can it get? Lots. Very fine writing indeed. Funny, sweet and dramatic.

Review: Jealous And Freakn'

Apart from the irritating parts about Mitchell's jealousy this book was awesome. Hot, sexy and toe-curling sex with a couple shots at violence (literally) this story really touched all the bases. The romance was incredible. Jag was truly amazing and my favourite. He was flirty, easygoing and more importantly, despite having a reputation for the ladies, he never once tried to stop his feelings for Francine. Mitchell, on the other hand, truly annoyed me most of the time. If it wasn't for the whole "love him since kindergarten thing" Francine had for him...I wouldn't have minded to see him leave. Glad everything worked out though because it really was important for Francine. Also loved the little tidbit about Jenny's karma. That one made my day.

Wolf female meets male jaguar and bear. Hot sexy men. Turns out they are supposed to be her mates. Apparently fate doesn't much care for her opinion of them. Time for a girl to bust some heads and shot down some egos! This book turned out to be much entertaining. There were some romantic sweet moments with very hot sex thrown in along with drama and violence yet what caught my attention was the romance, the love and laughter. Very cute and enjoyable.

This woman is a genius. No, seriously. She is. Such a creative mind and such a talented writer it is nearly impossible not to like her stories. I don't much like science fiction not even when its mingled with romance like this case so it's quite a shock to find myself loving every single book this woman writes no matter the plot or theme but it's true. I am never disappointed by her happy endings. Some are more sweeter than others, some I would've never have thought of them but they are always nevertheless brilliant. This one is another great example.

Oh I loved this one. The main plot is so very interesting and the romance between Ellie and Rafael is so cute. The writing is great and the creativity of the plot really makes this a great first instalment. It 's dramatic yet funny, exciting yet heart-stopping, dark yet sexy. Really good. I mean, who wouldn't have liked a bad ass vampiress who bathed in the blood of virgins once upon a time finding her humanity and fall in love with a very unlikely source,an archangel?

This one was a re-read. I got the anthology on a loan and didn't realize I'd already read one of the stories, not that I'm complaining because I still liked reading it. It is a very sweet and dramatic story regarding a werewolf and a vampire. Very short but very well written with an amazing flow of events. Interesting and creative plot. Truly enjoyable.

Didn't captivated me as much as the first story but it was still pretty good. Vampire meets werewolf and falls in love. Very sweet with the love conquers all idea like the former. A bit naive. Romantic with a happy ending. Entertaining.
