Oh so very cute and sweet. Really romantic. I'd missed Ryan and Josh. Great couple and really loved their HEA.

Huh. Second or third book this author writes with a solid background, characters and editing. So much better than others. I did find Oliie's omission about knowing Jacob's identity a little upsetting. Jacob kept a secret for fear of his life. Ollie didn't have that excuse and should've told Jacob right from the start whether it upset him or not. But, like I said, everything else was quite solid and creative. I enjoyed very much. Good HEA too.

Review: Why I Love Geeks

Why I Love Geeks
Why I Love Geeks by T.A. Chase

My rating: 3 of 5 stars

One of this author's best books out there. Solid characters and world-building. Some unrealistic events but not enough to interrupt the flow of the plot and the romance between characters. Still some editing problems (seems like a sure thing with this author) but, again, nothing overwhelming. Nice HEA. Curious about Burke and McKinley.

Review: Frat House Troopers

Frat House Troopers
Frat House Troopers by Xavier Mayne

My rating: 3 of 5 stars

I know this novel was supposed to be all sentimental and serious but I laughed out loud most of the time. I mean, there were lots of moments when the characters felt overwhelmed by their situations and didn't really know how to react so, yeah, it was sweet, angry, insecure and romantic all at the same time. But most of all, it was funny. I expected a reaction and they always surprised me with another. Really well written in that regard. I couldn't predict most things and I liked it. I did find Donelly's reaction to being gay a little unreal and that is the solemnly reason I didn't give a solid four star rating to this book. He seems to grab the concept and pretty much run with it without looking back and I found it too easy for it to believable for someone who had never looked at a guy before. Solid plot and world-building tho. Nice HEA.

Review: Tabloid Star

Tabloid Star
Tabloid Star by T.A. Chase

My rating: 3 of 5 stars

I liked Ryan and Josh's relationship. They were really solid from the start even when they weren't exactly sure of their feelings for each other. I did find Josh to be slightly more aggressive than I expected but he was really sweet other times too so it kinda balanced things out. The mystery about the photos did nothing for me tho 'cause it was pretty obvious Raz was guilty from the very beginning and their taking so long to see it made them look pretty ignorant. Nice HEA. Not perfect but appropriate.

Review: Soothe the Burn

Soothe the Burn
Soothe the Burn by T.A. Chase

My rating: 2 of 5 stars

Oh so many incongruities, so many grammar mistakes I actually wonder if this book was edited at all. The plot was creative enough to get me interested tho. It wasn't without its faults either but I did enjoy myself a little. The poor world-building and character development did annoy me occasionally. We never get to know any of them very well and we never get to understand what GalMil really was either. Basically? Totally surreal and unrealistic.

Review: Not Seeing Is Believing

Not Seeing Is Believing
Not Seeing Is Believing by T.A. Chase

My rating: 2 of 5 stars

Normal dog or hell-hound, it's still creepy when it joins you in bed while you're naked after you just had sex. Even worse when said hell-hound is sentient and is perfectly aware of the situation. Not that he whole short is any less ridiculous.

Review: Freaks in Love

Freaks in Love
Freaks in Love by T.A. Chase

My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Not impressed with neither the world-building nor the plot but I kinda liked both main characters so I sucked it up. Can't say I got to know them well tho. Not much background was provided for either of them and I still don't understand what they saw in each other besides an ally in rough times. James was pretty much a brute who didn't talk much and Magpie a chatterbox without a filter who didn't say anything actually worth listening to and the fact that they had sex without trusting or liking each other kinda creeped me out at the beginning. The HEA not being very interesting or creative pretty much dunked the whole story too.

Review: Trill To Me Sweetly

Trill To Me Sweetly
Trill To Me Sweetly by Charlie Richards

My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Really sweet. I know I should complain about clichés, insta-love, unrealistic situations, etc...but I don't want to 'cause I ended up enjoying this despite all that. I've been meaning to read about Maelgwn since Gus and Tible's love story and I wasn't disappointed in the least. Was it groundbreaking? No. Creative? Nope. Brilliant? Hardly. But...it was weirdly fascinating and satisfying so I don't regret it.

Meh. Creative but not much. I'm guessing it would've been pretty interesting if it wasn't so short we can't actually connect with either of the characters. That being said, I wasn't impressed.
