I'm not one for emotionally charged romances but this novel was everything I expected. And more importantly, it didn't feel forced in any way. Seemed normal, passionate and true. The main character appeared to be like any other woman with a broken heart and a hard time trusting men again. Luca was amazing and honestly? I want a Luca for myself too! The sooner the better! I loved the ending and I admit I was cheering every step of the way. Simply perfect!

Even better than the first. Now I'm gonna buy the 3rd so I can finally get to the end! This was so amazing I can barely wait...It has a more dramatic feel to it than the first due to the main characters confusing feelings but also a more fun and interesting side. Loved it. I only feel sorry for being such a fast-reading book. I hoped it lasted a little more time but I guess I'll just have to re-read it again.

I downloaded this book for free on Amazon and I can't say I regret it. I had a small window of opportunity at work and read it immediately. It's funny, dramatic, easy to read and interesting! I absolutely loved spending a couple hours on this story. Its fast-paced rhythm suited me just perfectly! I can't wait to read the next one!

Review: The Goddess Inheritance

I liked it a lot but I still can´t believe some stuff Kate did. I am completely baffled by some of her choices. I cannot stress enough how idiotic she was during this book. If not for the rest of this story...I would've flung this book across the room. Wait..No. It's an ebook...So I guess my laptop? Nope...way to precious now that my e-reader died on me. But you get my point. God, she was frustrating! Hell, everyone was!

I was satisfied though when she went to see Cronus at the end. I know he is awful and tried to literally kill everyone on earth but he did seem to have a somewhat soft spot for Kate (can't imagine why actually) and it kinda broke my heart a little to know he was spending eternity alone. Not that I pity him exactly...more like I understand his bid for companionship with Kate.

Ava's death was surprising...I kinda imagined Diana or James. But it is fitting considering all he did throughout the year. She felt miserable about betraying Kate and she made the ultimate sacrifice to redeem herself. I'm sad I don't get to learn more about Eros. I kinda expected him to be like Ava and I was sorry to not have the chance to find out.

All in all it ends like it was supposed to...Happy ever after.

So it's like this: I wrote an awesome review and when I went to save it...an error message appeared and ate my whole review and I gotta admit I'm way to lazy to write another. That and I didn't take any notes for it so I haven't the slightest idea of what I wrote and how.

The basic point was that I enjoyed it very much and am anxious to get my hands on the next instalment!

Review: The Goddess Test

Well. That was weirder than I thought it would be but also nice. I got a little confused at the end but I enjoyed the new approach to the Greek mythology. I like Henry but I gotta say I like James too. Dylan is kinda creepy but I guess that's normal for Ares. I still don't get why he stared at Kate for so long at the beginning of the book. Calliope freaks me out too. Specially after knowing she's Hera and she loves Henry, who is Hades. And Philip is Poseidon? I don't really see it. Sorry. I'm guessing all my doubts wouldn't confuse me so much if I just let my pre-conceived ideas for awhile and concentrate on the new look the author is trying to give mythology. But it's kinda hard to do so when so many of our myths come from certain sure ideas. Like I said previously, it was an enjoyable and fun read and that's what matters most. I'll try to ignore my conceptions of Hades, Zeus and all the other gods. It's worth it.

Oh wow. I have to admit I cried. A lot really. I actually want to just give a 1 star rating to this book because Sam died. It was so heartbreaking I cannot find the right words to describe it. I'm not surprised because soon as Sam explained he had the power to stop time but was forbidden to use it without unravelling...I knew he was gonna end up doing it anyway and there would be no way to save him. I knew since half the book and yet it still ripped my heart out when I read it.

I think I loved him a little. It is ridiculous to love a character of a book. He was not real. Never was. But I read about him. I spent time with him. I lived a part of his life even if his life was fictitious. And I watched and felt his death coming. I am so very sorry for him.

I have cried other times when I read about certain characters deaths. Kisten's for example, in the Hollows by Kim Harrison. But I never felt it so present as I did in this one. I hate the author a little bit right now. Sam was a masterfully built character and I hurt to see him gone. And I pity Niki so very much. She lost so many people.

I look forward for June with a mixing of hope and foreboding. Hope that somehow Niki will be able to reach happiness and foreboding to read she won't ever achieve it with Sam gone.

I think the main point I have against this book is the size. It's too damn small! I find myself wishing it was bigger so I could enjoy this story for longer...It is amazing. I am completely in love with it!

Niki has so many layers to unravel that it's absolutely delicious and Sam is so strong but tries so hard not to overwhelm her...I think he is the best angel I have read about so far.
I'm so anxious to find more and more about Niki, Sam, Gage, Sasha and everyone else!

Interesting premise. Fast-paced. Likeable characters. Mysterious. What more could you want?

The female lead is very interesting. With a complex exposure of good versus evil since childhood, Niki has become a strong willed woman with a compassionate heart despite her fathers background as a Mafia kingpin.

Things get tough though when she slips and she is discovered as an abnormal. A human with abilities. In her case, a human who can see ghosts among other not so friendly characters. She's put in the registry, a list of abnormals society intends to destroy.

Meet Sam. A mysterious guy in a mysterious bar. The Deep Blue Sea. Offers her a job for a large sum hunting demons. Considering she's out of money and in the registry...probably her only chance of paying the hospital bills her dying gandma is leaving. The offer to get off the registry is just the cherry at the top. How can one refuse?

Soon enough she learns things are about to get hairy.

Review: Caradoc of the North Wind

I read this in one sitting and could not put it down. I lack some sleep but I do not regret it!

On a side note: I don't exactly hate open endings because, let's be truthful, it's better to have an open ending than a bad one but I still resent them. I understand their purpose and allure to an author due to flexibility but...I continue to rebel. As a reader I find it somewhat frustrating. It almost feels unfinished which, come to think of it, it's maybe the idea all along. It definitely allows the author to return a couple years later and present the readers with more adventures.

Despite all my misgivings about this ending...I was absolutely surprised with this book. It is better than the other ones and such a fast-paced, exhilarating and heart-pounding adventure! I truly loved it. My heart broke a little when it seemed Branwen was leaving without Iwan but fortunately he didn't let himself get tricked and went after her. I was kinda hoping for a kiss but oh well. It's so sad for Branwen however, never to have been able to return to her home and see her mother. I actually hoped to see Lady Alis appear out of thin air but, alas, it was not meant to be.

I find myself hoping vehemently for another book. Or a whole new series with Branwen, her friends and the mysterious Chosen of The Shining Ones. That works too!
