DNF´ed at 15% so I'm not even going to rate it-not exactly fair-but I gotta say I wasn't impressed. The little I read was, for lack of a better word, disappointing. I didn't like the writing style. The world-building was none-existent (you get dropped literally in the middle of a scene and get no clues to help you) and the main character, Thea, simply couldn't make me care for her or her situation. Perhaps it would get better along the way, however, the story does not pull at me. I am not even a little bit curious about what happens. I'm just glad I didn't pay for it.

Review: Ricochet

F*ck. This book was pain. All the dark hidden things in that shadowy corner of your soul. You know the one. The one you ignore all your life and pretend not to have. Where nightmares tread. Where hope is that b*tch taunting you from afar and you can't reach her no matter how hard you try.

Nick is not your typical hero. What was done to his family will honestly haunt me for a while and give me some very bad dreams because it was done to his beautiful family, his gorgeous and innocent son and his lovable wife. Not out of revenge or retribution but simply because it could be done and there was no one to stop them. I hated it. And you'd think I'd have some semblance of pity for the guys he kills and tortures throughout this book but I really don't. There are things in this world I can forgive. This was not one of them and I was completely on board with Nick in his revenge. I cheered for him. The depth of his callousness regarding those people was frightening and left me cold but they also deserved it so badly I simply couldn't fault Nick one bit. I felt his pain. His anguish. His promise.

Aubree was kind of a loose cannon destroying all of Nick's carefully laid plans. She's easy to love and understand. Her past is almost as black as Nick's and they clash beautifully. The ragged pieces of their souls complete each other. I loved it. How raw and vulnerable they were together. How intense. How chaos suddenly made sense in each others presence. It was good.

A couple chapters from the end though...the pace changed and I didn't much care for it. Aubree's sudden proficiency with a gun came out of nowhere and her actions at the end weren't really believable. It was hard to mesh that woman with the one tortured by Michael for 5 years. However, this does not ruin this novel in any way. Everything else was perfect. Highly recommended.

Review: Vacation Hell

I liked it but the addiction of more men is kind of pissing me off. More men mean more sex and more sex, while normally I'm all up for it, means distraction from the main arc and that's what actually pulled me to this series in the first place. Sex is meant as a bonus feature and not the focus and I want that back. Badly. So, while I liked Tristan well enough, I don't want to see them have sex all the damn time. I want development and bad guys and blood and gore. I want to see Muriel kick ass and kill things. There's only so much you can do in a menage sex scene until it all bleeds together and just becomes annoying and repetitive. This book came very close. Also, while I wondered how Muriel came to meet her new beau when I read Hell's Kitty (she shows up at the end), I didn't exactly expect to go so far back in the story arc in order to find out. I expected to be shown how they were all doing post engagement party and Ursula. How Muriel was dealing with Lucifer 2.0. How Hell was doing with Muriel in charge. Unfortunately, that's not what I got. Most of the book was lost meeting Tristan, having sex and...all before Lucifer's curse thingy. So basically this was just a new perspective of what I'd already read. So...I'm kind of bummed about it. Still reading the next but yeah. Not the same.

Review: Jaxson

Too much plot for such a little book. Readable of course or I wouldn't have kept going but severely depleted when it comes to development. The main characters are pretty one-dimensional when they start and nothing much changes throughout the story. The sexual chemistry is all they really have together and I'm not entirely convinced of that either because I certainly didn't feel it while I was reading this. I also wasn't impressed by the way Olivia "solved" Jaxson's curse problem. Highly theatrical and little substance to it all. In fact, I wasn't impressed by anything really. I find myself a little curious about what the other brothers are hiding but even that is not enough to lure me back to this series. Not happening.

Hum...Not as good as Sylvie and Gator but close enough. Romantically speaking I'd give it only a 3 star rating, however, the final battle upped the rating a little bit. And I'm glad Louis had his time to shine. He was always so quiet and calm and I liked seeing this new side of him. It was exciting and new. Gray, I liked her, but her wariness was a little tiring for me. Also the sex. You'd think I'd be more than happy with the sex but there is such a thing as too much sex. Really. There is. I'm serious. Some more development would've been nice. But it was good anyway and I liked them all and can't help but forgive. Nicely done.

I liked this. I would've killed the bad guy tho. No point in letting an enemy run free behind your back. Better kill him and be done with it once and for all. Also, Brutus wasn't all that. I expected him to be a super bad*ss or something and he was mostly just size. Mostly. Still fun tho.

Review: Taming Her Hybrid Beast

Me and my habit of starting a series in the middle is gonna come back and bite me in the *ss someday but not yet. The world was new to me, of course, so a little strangeness was expected as well as some confusion but apart from that I was able to follow easily enough. Purists want to kill all hybrids and Roake, our MC, was captured over a year ago and is on his last leg. He manages to escape, barely, and ends up helped by his mate, Emma. In my opinion, the whole mates thing happened way too fast and kinda knocked me for a loop there. In this world, the shifters recognize their mates instantly and have the instinct to mark and mate just hours after the initial meeting. As someone who is pretty adverse to the idea of destined mates and "we can't help ourselves"...this was way too close for comfort. Give me a hard won relationship anytime. This? Way too easy and clichéd. However, it was enjoyable, fun and sexy times are always welcome so I liked it.
